Mountain West Productions has been a strong partner to the Wooden Hawk Foundation and Mountain Music Fest for the past three years.
When we first started MMF, Mountain West Productions helped us navigate the challenges of producing an event with two full stages and a diverse lineup of musical acts. As the festival evolved and grew, so did our production needs—and Steve and Jessie have been there every step of the way, providing guidance, expertise, and unwavering support.
Our 2026 Mountain Music Fest was our biggest and most technically demanding festival yet, featuring six bands leading up to The Bacon Brothers as the headline act as part of a Live Nation tour. With the tour came very specific and stringent stage, sound, and lighting requirements, and Mountain West Productions delivered at the highest level. Their professionalism, technical expertise, and attention to detail helped take MMF to the level we needed it to be.
What makes our partnership with MWP even more meaningful is their support of our student volunteers. The Wooden Hawk Foundation intentionally provides students with hands-on opportunities to learn about stage production, sound, and lighting. Steve and Jessie have been incredibly generous with their time, knowledge, and mentorship, helping our students gain real-world experience and confidence.

My All Female cover band (The UnderCoverGirls) were hired to play the Philip S. Miller Park Amphitheater in Castle Rock, Colorado. Mountain West Production Group provided our sound and backline. They were SO great in their communication with us and extremely accommodating in helping me with my keyboard situation.

Mountain West put on an amazing show at our shopping center this weekend. In uncertain times, we have to get creative and then be fluid with the plan. Steve and his team were active partners in the process bringing new ideas and solutions every step of the way. The show was even better than we had hoped for. They covered everything from sound, stage, and lights to parking attendants, DJ and even working with the fire inspector! Thanks for making it easy for us to make a lot of people happy!

Steve was an absolute pleasure to work with. We had a fundraising event that had to suddenly shift to an outdoor venue due to Covid. We had absolutely no idea what we needed for audio or video to accommodate a crowd at an outdoor amphitheater. Steve guided us every step of the way and was spot on with all of his recommendations. He was an excellent communicator, checking in with us and educating us as to what to expect. He showed up early the day of the event to walk us through and explain everything. Ethan and Bob handled the event and were excellent. Despite us providing the audio and video footage last minute, they still ran through it quickly beforehand and did EVERYTHING perfectly. I cannot thank them enough and we will definitely be using Mountain West Production Group again.

Steve is a rare find in this industry and I'm fortunate to have met him this past year. Mountain West removes the chaos from staging/audio/video/networking by providing a hard working and customer-first crew. I've seen Steve and his crew solve problems that arose with last minute curve balls in my events, giving me peace of mind to focus on all the other aspects of event planning.
